OKLAHOMA YOUTH DANCE CONNECTIONS
Board of Directors and Instructors
Joy Summers-Ables, President
When she’s not wearing the hat of Director of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Library, Joy Summers-Ables’ passion is her family and dance. Joy found her love for partner dancing, along with her husband, in 2000. She has a foundation in ballroom dance and since that time has been active in the dance community as a social dancer, and a competitive dancer in country western, placing multiple times in the top five at the United Country Western Dance Council Worlds competition.
With Joy’s LOVE of dance and working with youth, she wants to contribute to raising awareness and accessibility of couples dancing for youth in Oklahoma. The future of couples dancing lies in inspiring our youth, and providing opportunities that will have a lasting impact for them as individuals, and for the dance community. Joy was a founding Board member of USA Dance of central Oklahoma and is a Board member for OKC Dreamcatcher.
Pamela Craven Hamilton, Vice President
